Coming up this autumn

Summer's hopefully not over yet, but we have plenty of events planned at King's for the autumn months that you won't want to miss! We wanted to let you know about some dates that you can put in the diary now.

At the start of the new term, we'll be holding our first Coastal Currents exhibition, and the launch night on Saturday 5 September is a great opportunity to invite your friends up to Coffee Box.

Next on the calendar is a What's Next? preach series outlining the vision for King's over the next year. These will take place on Sundays 13, 20 and 27 September. Our autumn week of prayer will also take place from Sunday 13 to Sunday 20 September, with various meetings throughout the week where we will seek God for the coming year.

We also have our popular annual quiz night on Friday 25 September – we always book up quickly so we'd love you to invite friends and family and start thinking about who could be on your team!

Another important event we'd love you to spread the word about is our Alpha Taster evening. Taking place on Friday 9 October, this year we will be holding an event at Coffee Box with live music, a hog roast and a photography exhibition, Labels. Tickets will be available soon, so please start praying and thinking about who you might invite to this event.

The Alpha course itself will start the following week, on Thursday 15 October, and run on Thursdays throughout October and November. Even if you have friends or family who are unable to make it to the Alpha Taster evening, anyone who is interested can sign up to explore Christianity through the course.

We're pleased to again have Adrian Holloway with us as our guest speaker on Sunday 4 October. Adrian is a gifted apologist, so please note the date and invite friends and family to come along.

We're delighted to be holding our first worship conference from Friday 6 to Sunday 8 November with some guests from King's Church Horsham coming over as part of the event. This will be a fantastic opportunity to hear teaching about worship and, most importantly, to encounter God, so if you're able to, please make every effort to come along.

We're excited to be holding baptisms on Sunday 29 November, which are always cause for a huge celebration! If you're a member of King's Hastings and you'd like to be baptised, please get in touch with us.

Our regular events will be running throughout the coming term, including our Baby Thanksgiving Sunday on 6 September; our Exploring Membership course on Sundays 11 and 18 October; monthly mid-week prayer meetings on Wednesdays 21 October, 25 November and 9 December, and our annual finance review on Sunday 22 November, so please note these key dates.

Finally, in December, we will be holding two Christmas events, taking place on Sundays 13 and 20 December. Look out for further info over the coming weeks.

For many of our events, more details will follow closer to the date. We're so excited for the coming year and are praying that God will do great things with us and through us at King's. Please continue to pray that over the next year we'll really encounter God, follow His promptings and glorify him through everything we do.
