Link Lunch

Lunch IN Kings. Link Lunch is a great place for the over 55s where you can enjoy a light lunch and afternoon entertainment, meet up with old friends and make new ones.

We usually meet on the first Thursday of the month (depending on school holidays, as our lunch is cooked by a nearby Primary School) from 12pm to 3pm in the Jubilee Room in the Hastings Centre, opposite the Conquest Hospital.

Link Lunch is organised by members of Kings Church, Hastings, but we welcome people from church or non church backgrounds. We aim to create a warm and friendly atmosphere and a varied programme of entertainment including musical and poetry afternoons, quizzes and discussion panels, talks and guest speakers plus a party at Christmas and a Cream Tea outing in the summer! Tickets cost £2.50 and transport can be provided!

...............................................................................

We started Link Lunch on March 2001, St David’s Day! A memorable date as we made Welsh cakes for everyone to take home! We have grown and grown since then.

We have been thrilled to see some of our folk now fully part of the Kings Church family, meeting with us on Sunday mornings and at day time cell groups. Link Lunch is a low key sowing event and it has proved successful in providing a place where Kings members could bring their friends and witness to them. We have also had a number of your Mums and Dads, Grannies and Grandpas joining us which has been great! And we have some folk who attend other churches which is also great: to be part of the one church across Hastings. From Link we have had two day time Alpha courses; coffee mornings have been started plus the midweek day time service for people who can’t get to King’s meeting on a Sunday or find the Sunday meeting too overwhelming.
