People of all generations, backgrounds and phases of life come together at King’s on Sunday mornings for lively worship and provoking sermons. Our meetings are family-friendly, with a full programme for children.
Our Sunday morning meetings start at 10am at The Hastings Centre, a former sports centre that doesn’t look much like a traditional church building.
In a church of some 350 people, it could be difficult for newcomers to get to know people. We don’t want anyone to feel ‘lost in the crowd’ so we have a network of small groups meeting in people’s homes across Hastings, St Leonards, Bexhill and the surrounding areas during the week.
Groups vary in size and emphasis, with some reaching out to help needy areas of town, others helping young families, and others helping run Alpha courses.
The Alpha Course is a nine-week introduction to the Christian faith. After a delicious two-course meal, there’s a short talk followed by no-questions-barred discussions. Topics include ‘Who is Jesus?’, ‘Why did Jesus die?’ and ‘Does God heal today?’
Held on Wednesday evenings from 7pm, Alpha is suitable for anyone interested in finding out more about the Christian faith while making new friends, and no question is considered too hostile or too simple.
We want to see a diverse and dynamic church made up of many people whose lives have been changed by meeting Jesus, who are radical, real and relevant. Radical in their passion for God, real about their care for one another and relevant in the way they communicate God’s love to the whole community.
Exploring Membership is a three evening course designed for those who want to join the King’s Church Hastings. During the first two evenings you will have opportunity to hear from the elders about their vision for the church and some of our current plans.
