Powerful together

Did you know that the Rugby World Cup is happening through our Season of Prayer, Fasting & Giving? I probably know about this only because my husband is so keen on rugby and aims to see every 'try' scored throughout the competition! As for me, I just love to watch the 'haka' at the start of the New Zealand matches!

Although it is probably a pagan war-dance, it reminds me of the church at prayer. As these men 'dance', they are powerfully together as a team, gesticulating aggressively against the enemy/their opponent. There is no disunity within the team; rather, they are demonstrably committed to each other against the enemy and making a public display in absolute unity.

How much greater reason we have to stand together as a church through this season and fight some significant prayer battles together and see God's victory. Let's make every effort to get together and pray to declare and demonstrate our unity because of Christ.

Reading: Ephesians 6:10-12
Next Prayer Meeting: Today at 12.30pm
