YOUTH
Friday nights of high energy activities, dynamic worship, provoking seminars and crazy trips are just part of the youth work at King’s. Soul is for 11- to 14-year-olds, and for the older teens (15-18) we run d:voted. Once a month we bring the two age groups together for Sync.
Those under 11 can’t wait to get in and those over 18 lie about their age
The youth work is led by Ant Hilder, who works with young people in a mentoring capacity and has been involved in youth work in different capacities for many years. A dedicated supporter of Tottenham Hotspur, Ant is used to handling disappointment in his life.
SOUL
Soul is for a mixture of sports, games, crazy events and days out. It’s full of energy and fun, but also has a serious side – we regularly meet at one another’s houses, and over food learn about God together. But we can’t help it – those times are always a really good laugh as well...
D:VOTED
D:voted is a relaxed and easy-going group who meet up fortnightly to hang out, drink coffee, eat biscuits, talk about life, learn about God, and get to know other people.
Matt & Catherine Schembri run d:voted. Matt works as a primary school teacher and Catherine is currently studying for a masters degree in social work. Despite his best efforts, Matt is cool. He listens to cool music, wears cool clothes and uses cool words. The only dent in his coolness is his support of Tottenham Hotspur. Catherine likes tea, and is one of those people that everyone thinks is lovely, because she is.
SYNC
Sync brings together Soul and d:voted fortnightly for dynamic worship, great teaching, fun, laughter and provoking seminars. If that's not enough, sometimes we even throw in cakes as well.
