LINK LUNCH

LINK (Lunch in King’s) is a monthly luncheon club for over 55s from Hastings and the surrounding areas, providing fun, friendship and conversation for local older people, including those who are frail and can’t get out very easily on their own.

Opening Quotes

Food, friendship and fun, no wonder this is such a popular event

Closing Quotes

Started in 2001, a small army of volunteers prepares a nourishing lunch, which is served in a warm and friendly environment and followed by entertainment or an activity. Around 60 people attend each month, usually rising to over 70 for the popular Christmas LINK.

Volunteers from the team are able to visit members who are unwell and no longer able to attend due to ill health or infirmity. A newsletter is also sent to those who are unable to attend.

The team is led by Anne Bristow, Anne Bunt and Jacky Bibby, and LINK-lunchers are always struck by the warmth and friendliness they encounter.
