Family God Talk - 17.04.16

We think it's so important that families spend time together with God during the week, but we also know that it can be really hard to do! That's why each week we're producing some resources to help you. Take a look below for this week's material.

This week in Totz (0-4s)
During April, Totz are looking at the Lord's Prayer (Matthew 6:5-15). So far they've looked at the first two parts ('God is our perfect daddy' and 'God has good plans') and this week they reached 'God gives good things' ('Give us today our daily bread'). They talked about how God provides for us and how we can ask him for things. They also learnt about the importance of thanking God for the things he's done for us.

This week in NRG (4-7s) and N:Gage (7-11s)
Both NRG and N:Gage were looking at the story of Noah this week. When the world had gone bad because people weren't loving and following God, it made him sad. He decided to start again, but he chose to save Noah by offering him a place on the ark. Noah trusted in God's offer, built the ark and was protected by it from the flood waters. The ark is a picture of Jesus. Even though we all make God sad sometimes by the things we do, when we ask Jesus to forgive us he becomes like the ark to us, protecting us from punishment so that we can live forever with God.
